Abstract
A lymphocyte cell line was established from the culture of rheumatoid synovium and the cell strain continues to proliferate after more than a year in the culture. The exposure of the cells to ^14^Cβamino acids has demonstrated that they manufacture IgG and IgM and, thus, they can be regarded as Bβimmunocytes.

Unlike cathepsin D, the cysteine proteinase cathepsin B was commonly detected only at the edges of the synovial explants. Radioim
