Large duectronal asymmetries were observed m photoelectron drstributions from core and valence levels m metals and adsorbate atoms. Intensrues vaned by factors up to 25 as the angle between A and p was vaned. The energy dependence of asymmetry showed atomrc behavror srmllar to that expected for free atoms, modified for the tendencyp IIA.
