โฆ Synopsis
A review is presented of computer simulations of liquid crystal systems. It will be shown that the shape o particles is of crucial importance for the stability of the phases. Both static and dynamic properties of the systems are obtained by means of computer simulation.

To obtain a guide for shortening the liquid crystal filling time, we devised a filling simulation model based on two-dimensional incompressible Stokes flow and studied its suitability. We found this model allowed us to predict the effect on the filling time of changes in the panel parameters, such a
A software package 'Nodus' for simulation and development of compartmental models of neurons is described. Passive or excitable membranes with voltage dependent ion conductances or synaptic conductances can be modeled. Detailed simulations ofmorphology and electrophysiology of neurons are possible.
## Abstract Computer simulations of the molecular motion of polymer chains in the presence of a strong nematic field were carried out by the method of Brownian dynamics. Two models were studied: the first model (linear liquid crystal) is a freely jointed chain with rigid bonds, the second model (co
This paper describes a computer simulation model capable of predicting the noise levels generated by traffic passing through road intersections controlled by roundabouts where departures from free-flow traffic conditions occur. The model depends Jbr its operation on the acoustical and flow character
