โœฆ Synopsis

The Yoshida sarcoma and a line derived from it showing acquired resistance to alkylating agents have been compared from a number of aspects: chromosome number, growth rate, nucleic acid, protein and free thiol content. Although the degree of resistance to the alkylating agent Melphalan has been demonstrated to be at least I00 timesgreater than in the sensitive strain, the two tumours have been very similar in all aspects so far studied. A small, and not highly signiJcant, increase in glutathione content of the solid resistant tumour has been the only diference so far demonstrated.

## Abstract The concentration of ^3^Hโ€aniline mustard in two tumour lines has been measured and the level of binding of the drug to DNA followed for 48 hours after intraperitoneal injection. Although the two tumour lines differ a hundredโ€fold in their sensitivity to this alkylating agent, no good c
