✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A compact dual‐band antenna operating in the 1.8/2.4‐GHz bands with identical linear polarization suitable for DCS/2.4‐GHz WLAN applications is presented. The proposed configuration is a modified microstrip‐fed printed monopole with an additional strip and a proper truncated ground plane on the opposite side of the substrate. The proposed antenna of dimensions 35 × 47 × 1.6 mm offers 2:1 VSWR bandwidths of 10.8% and 9.8% in the DCS and 2.4‐GHz WLAN bands, respectively. Details of the antenna design and experimental results are discussed. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract This paper proposes a novel compact dual‐band T‐slot antenna for 2.4/5‐GHz wireless applications. The proposed antenna is composed of two orthogonal slots in a 20 mm by 50 mm ground plane. The antenna was fabricated on a FR‐4 substrate (ε~r~ = 4.50, tan δ = 0.02) and was measured in a m
## Abstract A novel dual‐band slot‐antenna for WLAN applications is presented. The antenna is composed of two narrow slots fed by a microstrip‐line. In order to increase the impedance bandwidth of a narrow slot and keep its small size, a kind of stepped‐impedance (SI) slot is used. It has been inve
## Abstract A dual‐band slot antenna comprising two narrow linear slots for wireless local area network (WLAN) operations in the 2.4 GHz (2.4–2.484 GHz) and 5.2 GHz (5.15–5.35 GHz) bands is presented. The two linear slots are arranged to be close and in parallel to each other, and are easily fed by
## Abstract In this article, we present a simple surface‐mountable monopole antenna for dual‐band DCS1800 and 2.4‐GHz WLAN operations. The antenna was obtained by folding a metallic strip into a V‐shape, and soldered to a 50‐Ω microstrip feed line printed on a metallized substrate. The proposed ant
A dual-band printed diversity antenna for 2.4/5.2-GHz WLAN operation is proposed. The antenna consists of two orthogonal C-shaped monopoles placed symmetrically with respect to a protruding T-shaped ground plane. Across the two bands, the antenna has two highly decoupled ports and can provide spatia
