A circularly polarized antenna, realized in a low-cost technology with an integrated feed, is presented for the land-mobile satellite seruice. This antenna presents large bandwidth, high gain, and good axial ratio in all frequency ranges.

β¦ Synopsis
A no¨el compact circular polarization CP design of a single-feed equilateral-triangular microstrip antenna with a Y-shaped slot is presented. The Y-shaped slot is cut in the patch with its upper two arms facing either the triangle tip or the bottom side of the triangular patch. Results show that, with a proper size of the Y-shaped slot, the present proposed design can ha¨e an antenna size reduction up to about 19% for operating at a gi¨en frequency for circular polarization, as compared to the regular-size circularly polarized triangular microstrip antenna. No¨el design of a dual-frequency triangular microstrip antenna with a V-shaped slot is proposed and experimentally studied. By selecting suitable dimensions of the V-shaped slot, dual-frequency operation with the frequency ratio ranging from 1.488 to 1.834 has been obtained using a single probe feed
A circularly polarized CP circular patch microstrip antenna with a cross slot using an L-shaped probe fed by a microstrip line is designed and measured. With the single L-probe, the impedance bandwidth, the axial-ratio bandwidth, and the gain bandwidth are 27, ( ) 3.47, and 26%, respecti¨ely, for th
