✦ Synopsis
A general method is described for forming peptide amides by cleavage from benzhydrylaminesin using a mixture of trifluoromethanesulfonic acid, thioanisole and trifluoroacetic acid.
This procedure gives comparable results to cleavage by liquid hydrogen fluoride.
