✦ Synopsis
We developed a Western blot assay using purified human c-myc protein expressed in E. coli in order to look for circulating anti-c-myc antibodies in human sera. The presence of IgG antibodies against c-myc was observed in 25 out of 44 sera from patients with colorectal cancer diagnosed and treated at the Hdpital Curie in Paris, compared to the sera of 46 normal donors of which only 8 samples were positive (p = 0.001).

Bacterially expressed mouse c-myb protein was purified from E. coliextracts and used as antigen to screen human sera for circulating anti-c-my6 oncogene product antibodies. Using Western blotting, we have found that human sera contain IgG antibodies to the c-my6 gene product. The percentage of posit
Studies of immune recognition in cancer have defined several tumor antigens using autologous cytotoxic T lymphocytes and by detection of serum antibodies to tumor-associated products such as p53 and HER-2/neu. The AIS gene is a p53 homologue with multiple protein products (p40, p51, p63, p73L) on ch
## Abstract Antibodies reacting with the host protein p53 were found in the sera of patients with primary or secondary carcinoma of the breast. Fourteen out of the 155 sera from breast cancer patients tested were positive for anti‐p53 antibodies (9%) and no positives were detected among 164 control
The aim of this study was to ascertain whether apoptotic counts have prognostic significance in colorectal cancer and if such counts are related to the expression of proteins implicated in cell cycle regulation. Material from a cohort of patients aged 45 years or less with colorectal carcinoma was r
