Alternative polymer supports for organic
✍ David E. Bergbreiter 📂 Article 📅 1999 🏛 John Wiley and Sons 🌐 English ⚖ 263 KB

The use of polymers other than divinylbenzene crosslinked polystyrene as supports in organic chemistry is discussed. Insoluble polymer alternatives to DVB crosslinked polystyrene discussed include porous polyethylene supports, polymer-supported functional colloids, micron and submicron-sized particl

Sulfenylation chemistry using polymer-su
✍ David C. Forbes; Sampada V. Bettigeri; Nahla N. Al-Azzeh; Brian P. Finnigan; Jos 📂 Article 📅 2009 🏛 Elsevier Science 🌐 French ⚖ 207 KB

Clean sulfenylations are observed upon reaction of activated methylenes with phenyl succinimidyl sulfide. When working with diethyl benzylmalonate, the sulfenylated product can be selectively oxidized and thermally fragmented affording phenylsulfenic acid, initially, and diethyl benzylidenemalonate.

Combinatorial chemistry using polymer-su

During the past several years, the field of combinatorial chemistry has expanded to include not only solid- and solution-phase methods for expedited compound synthesis, but also hybrid approaches that span these two extremes. In particular, polymer-supported reagents have emerged as useful combinato
