Thermal Conversion of 1-Alkynyl-1,2-dihydrophosphetes into Phosphinines.

-Phosphetes (V), which are readily prepared by reaction of the appropriate titanacyclobutenes (III) with alkynyldichlorophosphines ( IV), rearrange to the corresponding phosphinines (VI) via an original 4Ο€-cycloreversion-6Ο€-electrocyclization mechanism.

Dimethyltitanocene (II) reacts with the butadiyne (VII) to yield the new vinyltitanacyclobutene (VIII), which can serve as precursor of vinylphosphinine (X). -(AVARVARI, N.;
