The DE Novo Design and Synthesis of Cyclic Urea Inhibitors of Factor Xa: Initial SAR Studies. -A series of cyclic ureas is prepared and tested as inhibitors of the blood coagulation protein factor Xa. Molecular modelling calculations are performed to study the docking of the compounds to the factor Xa active site. On the basis of these calculations compound (V), though showing only modest activity, is selected as a new lead for a new series of more potent and selective inhibitors. -(GALEMMO, R.
