โœฆ Synopsis

Iridium-Catalyzed anti-Diastereo-and Enantioselective Carbonyl (Trimethylsilyl)allylation from the Alcohol or Aldehyde Oxidation Level. -A highly anti-diastereo-and enantioselective (trimethylsilyl)allylation of aldehydes and alcohols is reported. Identical sets of products (III) are obtained with comparable levels of selectivity from the aldehyde or alcohol oxidation level. In the latter case, the reactions proceed in the absence of 2-propanol, but under otherwise identical reaction conditions. The products (III) are readily converted to 1,4-ene-diols (IV), allylic alcohol (VI), and ฮณ-lactam (IX). -(HAN, S.
