โฆ Synopsis
Enantioselective Addition of Diethylzinc to Benzaldehyde in the Presence of Sulfur-Containing Pyridine Ligands. -In some cases ligands, which differ only in the C-8 carbon configuration, cf. methods B) and E), give the opposite configuration of phenylpropanol (III). Surprisingly, method C) leads to unexpected (R)-(III) instead of expected (S)-(III), indicating a different steric course of the reaction.
