Baker's Yeast Mediated Chemoselective Reduction of Azidoarenes.

-The baker's yeast catalyzed chemoselective reduction of a variety of azides (I) to the corresponding amines under nonfermenting conditions is investigated. The reduction proceeds under mild conditions and shows selectivity over other reducible functions.
