β¦ Synopsis
A Novel Synthesis of Cadmium Phosphide Nanoparticles Using the Single-Source Precursor [MeCdP t Bu 2 ] 3 .
-Tri-n-octylphosphine oxide (TOPO) capped Cd 3 P 2 quatum dots are prepared by thermolysis of a TOPO/TOP solution of MeCdP(tBu) 2 at 90-250 β’ C. The precursor is obtained in high purity by direct reaction of Me 2 Cd and tBu 2 HP in dry hexane or trioctylphosphine (TOP). The optical properties and the size of the cadmium phosphide nanocrystals depend on the thermolysis conditions . - (GREEN,
