3-Phenyl-3-chloro-2-propenthial as Intermediate in the Hydrothiolysis of Dimethyl(3-phenyl-3-chloro-2-propylidene)ammonium Perchlorate.

-During hydrothiolysis of the title perchlorate (I), 3-phenyl-3-chloro-2-propenethial is formed intermediately which cannot be isolated neither in pure form nor as its oligomer. It subsequently reacts with hydrogen sulfide under C-Cl bond cleavage followed by dimerization furnishing 1,7-dithial (III). -(TIMOKHINA,
