The title compound, {(C 5 H 14 N 2 )[Cu 2 Cl 4 ]} n , was synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction of CuCl 2 with homochiral (R)-2methylpiperazine. One Cu atom has a slightly distorted tetrahedral geometry defined by one terminal and three bridging Cl À anions, while the other displays a trigonal pl

✦ Synopsis
The title complex, [AgKCl 2 (C 12 H 24 O 6 )] n , has been synthesized by reaction of 18-crown-6 with KCl and AgNO 3 . [K(18crown-6)] + cations and [AgCl 2 ] À anions form one-dimensional chains through KÁ Á ÁCl interactions of length 3.2568 (14) A ˚. Both the K + and the Ag I ions lie on centres of inversion.
