✦ Synopsis

In the title compound, [Ni(C 2 H 6 N 5 ) 2 ]Á2H 2 O, the Ni cation (site symmetry 1) is coordinated by four N atoms from two bidenate ligands in a square-planar arrangement. A network of O-HÁ Á ÁN, N-HÁ Á ÁN and N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds helps to consolidate the crystal packing.
