✦ Synopsis

The Cu atom in the title compound, [Cu(C~16~H~10~BrN~4~O~3~)~2~(C~3~H~7~NO)~2~], lies on a special position of \overline{1} site symmetry in a grossly elongated CuN~2~O~4~ octahedral geometry [Cu...O~DMF~ = 3.014 (4) Å]. The Cu atom is also N,O-chelated by the hydrazonate ligand. An N—H...O hydrogen bond helps to consolidate the crystal packing.
