The title compound, [Co(C 13 H 18 NO) 2 ], was synthesized by the disproportionation of methyl-tetrakis(trimethylphosphine)cobalt with 3-tert-butyl-N,5-dimethylsalicylaldimine in diethyl ether. The cobalt center in the structure is in a distorted tetrahedral geometry.
