✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The kinetic and spectral characteristics (chemiluminescence and fluorescence spectra) of ultraweak luminescence accompanying the electrolysis of a sodium citrate–methanol–dissolved O~2~ solution and its application for the determination of antioxidants were examined. The energy transfer‐assisted luminescence sensitized by anthracene provides a fast and sensitive assay for the determination of the concentration and kinetic parameters of antioxidants and free radical scavengers.

Fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) systems in which a peptide sequence contains both a fluorophore and an internal quencher are amongst the best methods available for protease analysis and characterization. Numerous proteases have been studied using this method, including trypsin which cl
