✦ Synopsis

Oligonucleotide analogues with a novel sugar-phosphate backbone containing 2 -arabino-fluoronucleosides and phosphoramidate 3 -NHP(O)(O -)O-5 internucleoside linkages were prepared. These compounds have demonstrated high binding affinity to complementary nucleic acids as well as greater acid stability than the parent oligonucleotide N3 →P5 phosphoramidates.
