✦ Synopsis
In the title compound, [Cd(NO~3~)(C~7~H~7~N~3~O~3~)~2~(H~2~O)]NO~3~, the Cd atom is coordinated by two organic ligands, a water molecule and a nitrate anion. The coordination can be described as distorted pentagonal bipyramidal. Geometric parameters show that the nitrate anion is coordinated in the bidentate mode. Non-coordinated and bidentate chelating nitrates create hydrogen-bonding networks in the a- and b-axis directions, respectively. Parallel-oriented 4-nitrobenzohydrazides help to establish the packing.

It is also coordinated by a water molecule in a monocapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The coor
