✦ Synopsis

In the title compound, [Ni(NO 3 ) 2 (C 17 H 16 N 4 O) 2 (H 2 O)], the six-coordinate Ni atom is bound by two trans 4-aminoantipyrine ligands. Such compounds possess antimicrobial properties. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular hydrogen bonds and non-classical CÐHÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds, which generate a three-dimensional network.
