β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
A method has been developed to get purified purine and pyrimidine derivatives content of milk except uric acid by deproteinization with TCA, extraction of etherβsoluble materials and treatment with active charcoal by adsorptionβdesorption cycle. The conditions and the nature of the charcoal have been discussed. Uric acid could not be recovered due to its low solubility and complete retention on the charcoal. Total recovery based on the original extract was around 80% and over 90% according to the adsorbed materials.
