We have investigated the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of a random bulk Ag/YBa,Cu,O,., composite material containing 40% Ag. A cylindrical enclosure was fabricated out of the composite material, and the shielding effectiveness of the material was determined by measuring the frequency depen

Abstract
The applications of metal foam in the last years continues to grow up in terms of research and application even in electromagnetic environment. An analytical 3D model of metal foams is developed and discussed in this article to characterize the electromagnetic shielding behavior, showing good agreement results with this model, some prototype of this model, and experimental measurements of metal foams.
