fiber [7,8]. So we can say that this shift is the result of the resonant nonlinearity of the grating. Through measuring the shift of the output wavelength, we can calculate the resonant nonlinearity of the double-clad fiber Bragg grating.
5. CONCLUSION
In conclusion, we have used residual pump power to induce the resonant nonlinearity of the Yb 3Ο© -doped DCF Bragg grating so that the reflected central wavelength of the DCF Bragg grating shifts. The central wavelength of the grating was shifted nearly 0.2 nm in our experiment. Due to this result, we can draw the conclusion that this kind of grating has strong resonant nonlinearity and can be implemented in some applications, such as optical switching.

The correction to our research paper [1] is made in Eq. ( 9). An additional Ο©1 was typed: J 1Ο©1 in place of J 1 and K 1Ο©1 in place of K 1 . The corrected equation is as follows: This is the only typographical error. All calculations in this paper are made with this corrected equation. REFERENCE 1.
