โฆ Synopsis
The long spacing of several compounds of the dihydrazide series, (CH,)n (CONHNH2)2, was measured. The length of this spacing is proportional to the number of C-atoms in the chain. Per C-atom an increase of 1.29 h is found. The intensity ratio of different orders of reflexion was estimated. It could be shown that the intensity of the different order reflexion of the long spacing for all members of a series is the same function of the reflecting angle. From the variation of the intensities of these orders with the reflexion angle a model of the dihydrazide molecule is obtained. Some measurements of side spacings were carried out. Physica I 1) A.
