✦ Synopsis
An endo-B-glucanase of C.cellulolyticum was purified by a procedure involving concanavalin A (Con A)-Sepharose chromatography and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE). The enzyme produced G1 and oligosaccharides from CMC. Chromatography on Procion Red HE3B-Agarose proved to be useful in the separation of cellobiase from cellobiose dehydrogenase.
