Intensive chemotherapy with high-dose cyclophosphamide and adriamycin with DTIC maintenance was given to 12 patients with metastatic soft tissue sarcomas. A partial response rate of 25% was seen; this is no better than can be achieved with single-agent therapy. Because of substantial toxicity withou
