โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
A group of 215 patients with acute renal failure is discussed.
Acute renal failure in surgical practice is due to obstruction, trauma, operation, or miscellaneous causes. The high mortality can be reduced by early diagnosis and treatment. Infective complications are common.
Treatment of renal failure is aided by peritoneal dialysis and by haemodialysis. Renal failure can usually be controlled by one or both of these methods of treatment.
Death is usually due to the severity of the original disease, and to infective complications.
