โฆ Synopsis
We describe a case of essential thrombocythemia in a 34-year-old male who presented with acute anterior wall myocardial infarction and a platelet count of 2,100,000/mm 3 . Primary percutaneous coronary angioplasty and stenting were performed. Postangioplasty course was complicated by stent thrombosis requiring repeat coronary angioplasty and persistent femoral arterial bleeding that was treated with surgical exploration and repair. The patient was subsequently treated with platelet pheresis, acetylsalicylic acid, ticlopidine, hydroxyurea, and anagrelide without further complications. Cathet.

Like other myeloprollferatlve diseases, ET is assoclated with an increased risk of development of acute leukemla (AL). However, the large majority of cases of leukemic
We evaluated the outcome of bailout coronary stenting in acute myocardial infarction. Fifty patients (35 men, mean age 60 plusmn; 12) with acute myocardial infarction consecutively underwent bailout stenting after primary and rescue coronary angioplasty (nโซ14ุโฌ and 9, respectively).
