✦ Synopsis
The title compound, [Cu(C 15 H 4 BF 18 N 6 )(C 2 H 3 N)] or [HB(3,5-(CF 3 ) 2 Pz) 3 ]Cu I (CH 3 CN), was synthesized from [Cu I (CF 3 -SO 3 )] 2 ÁC 6 H 5 CH 3 and[HB(3,5-(CF 3 ) 2 Pz) 3 ]Na(H 2 O) in CH 2 Cl 2 /CH 3 CN. The Cu I atom adopts a distorted tetrahedral geometry and is coordinated by four N atoms, three N atoms from the tridentate tris(pyrazolyl)borate ligand [Cu-N = 2.0992 (12) A ˚] and one N atom from acetonitrile [Cu-N = 1.888 (3) A ˚]. The acetonitrile ligand is linear. The Cu atom, acetonitrile ligand, B and its attached H atom lie on a crystallographic threefold rotation axis.

This study of the title compound, C 14 H 9 F 3 N 4 O, is part of a series of structural investigations of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors containing 1,3-diarylpyrazole derivatives. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO and C-HÁ Á ÁF hydrogen-bonding interactions.
The title compound, C 27 H 16 Cl 2 F 6 N 4 O 2 ÁH 2 O, was obtained by the reaction of 2,4-dichlorobenzaldehyde and 2-phenyl-5trifluoromethyl-2H-pyrazol-3-ol in aqueous media without any catalyst. In the crystal structure, both intra-and intermolecular hydrogen bonds are found.
Reaction of potassium hydridotris(5-methyl-3-phenylpyrazoly)borate with copper(II) acetate in methanol at room temperature gives the title compound, [Cu(C 30 H 28 BN 6 )-(C 2 H 3 O 2 )]. The Cu atom is five-coordinated by three N atoms from pyrazolyl groups and two O atoms from the acetate ligand.
In the title compound, C 21 H 19 ClF 3 N 2 O 6 P, the P atom is in a distorted tetrahedral configuration. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked by intermolecular C-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds, forming centrosymmetric dimers.
