✦ Synopsis

A study has been made of the absorption of SO2 by water flowing in a lamhrar Alm over the surface of single spheres and columns of spheres. By means of the penetration theory it is possible to correlate the data for spheres of radii from 1 to 8 cm, and for columns containing up to fourteen spheres. It appeara that there is little or no mixing of the surface layers with the bulk of the liquid as it 50~s from one sphere to the next in a vertical mw.

The structure of glutaraldehyde (GA) in aqueous solutions has been the subject of much debate. Since there were fundamental problems in the experiments in the preceding studies, in this article, the structure of GA was investigated with uv absorption and light scattering to avoid those problems. It
