## Abstract The 3,5โbis(5โcarboxyโ6โazauracilโ1โyl)aniline (**7**) and 1,3,5โtris(5โcarboxyโ6โazauracilโ1โyl)benzene (**10**) were prepared from 3โaminoโ5โnitroacetanilide (**1**) __via__ intermediates **2โ6**. A series of other substituted 6โazauracil derivatives **9, 11โ14** were also prepared.
As-Triazine Derivatives with Potential Therapeutic Action. Part 26. Synthesis of 5-Substituted-6-azauracil Acyclonucleosides. -The azauracils (I) are alkylated to give the potential antiviral acyclovir-type nucleoside analogues (III).
