A simple method for protein recovery from gel slices following polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis is proposed which requires neither additional devices nor much skill. The method is based on reversed electrophoresis using a discontinuous conductivity gradient which is in turn maintained by a gradien

β¦ Synopsis
A simple technique has been developed for eluting, in high concentration, macromolecular components separated in cylindrical tubes by gel electrophoresis. The principle can also be applied to the concentration of solutions of macromolecular components obtained through other means. Soluble complement-fixing antigens of tumor cells were partially purified with retention of activity.
