Profilin has been purified from bovine thyroid by a new and simple method, employing affinity chromatography on DNase I-agarose and gel filtration. This procedure should be particularly useful for purifying profilin from tissues in which it is present in relatively low concentration because it does

β¦ Synopsis
A method is described for the rapid purification of acid deoxyribonucleases. It primarily involves chromatography of the enzyme-containing preparation through a DNA-ECTEOLA-cellulose column. This column retains the DNAse activity but not the inactive protein, and consequently, high degrees of purification are attained.
