β¦ Synopsis
Starting from the basic equations for the quantized electromagnetic tield. the authors use Bogolyubov's principle of weakening of initial correlations to derive a quantum kinetic equation for photons in a plasma. The simplest approximation leads to the usual equation of radiative transfer. Kirchhoff's radiation law is discussed.

A fully ionized many-species plasma in quasi-equilibrium is considered. The effect of a magnetic field on the functional dependence of the linearized two-particle correlation function on the linearized one-particle distribution function is explicity evaluated. A dispersion relation is obtained that
We study the production of photons from a quark-gluon plasma in local thermal equilibrium by introducing a non-perturbative formulation of the real time evolution of the density matrix. The main ingredient is the real time effective action for the electromagnetic field to O(Ξ± em ) and to all orders
A single-time quantum transport equation, which includes effects beyond the quasiparticle approximation, is derived for Fermi systems in the framework of nonequilibrium real-time Green's functions theory. Ternary correlations are incorporated in the kinetic description via a cluster expansion for th
