A gas chromatographic method for alcohol analysis is presented which employs a vapor phase technique and utilizes 1, 4-dioxane as the internal standard. Results compare favorably with those derived from duplicate anaLysis by distillation-oxidation methodology.

A method employing solvent extraction and. gas-liquid chromatography is described which can detect as little as 0,015 ,ug of methadone per ml of human plasma. The method has been used to determine the concentration of methadone in plasma samples from normal volunteers given a single dose of methadon
