โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

A novel folded Koch monopole antenna printed over a wireless device's ground plane is presented. Due to its favorable characteristics, the element was further considered for the implementation of a twoโ€branch diversity system and proved to achieve a good diversity performance under both switched and combining schemes. ยฉ 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract This paper presents a novel design for a lowโ€profile planar monopole antenna. The proposed antenna is a rectangular planar monopole with folded end. Its total height is about 0.12 ฮป~0~ (the freeโ€space wavelength of the lowest operating frequency of the antenna), which is lower than othe

## Abstract A printed highโ€gain monopole antenna for wireless LAN applications is designed and tested. The meandering line is employed to compress the ฮป/2 element with phase that is opposite to that of the other constructive elements. The chokes on both sides are employed for reduction of the side

## Abstract A small wideband planar monopole antenna for mobile wireless devices is designed and implemented. The proposed antenna satisfies the โˆ’10โ€dB returnโ€loss requirement from 1.62 to 10.9 GHz. The antenna can easily cover the DCS1800/1900, IMTโ€2000, WiBro, WLAN, DMB, and UWB bands at the same

## Abstract The design of a compact coplanar waveguideโ€fed monopole antenna partially surrounded and coupled by a folded ground strip is presented. By properly tuning the gap between the monopole antenna and the ground strip, it is able to operate in the 5โ€GHz band for wireless application. From th
