✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A printed high‐gain monopole antenna for wireless LAN applications is designed and tested. The meandering line is employed to compress the λ/2 element with phase that is opposite to that of the other constructive elements. The chokes on both sides are employed for reduction of the side lobes. An impedance bandwidth of 4.8 (VSWR ≤ 1.5) and average gain of 4dBi is achieved. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
