Abstract
This article proposed a design of a monopole antenna with a bent loop slit for GSM900/DCS1800/PCS1900/UMTS applications. The proposed antenna was designed on FR4 substrate and fed by 50 ฮฉ microstrip line. The proposed antenna was first designed a rectangle planar patch to operate at a higher frequency of 1.8 GHz for DCS1800/PCS1900/UMTS applications. Besides, the other operation band of 900 MHz for GSM900 applications has been achieved by inserting a bended slit loop into the rectangle planar patch. Simulated and measured results are shown later.
