✦ Synopsis
Abstract
This article presents a novel multipassband filter using asymmetric radial stubs.Asymmetric radial stubs are formed from two single‐radial stubs in different dimensions. The transmission zeros of such asymmetric structure can be controlled by the respective radial stub. By using these asymmetric radial stubs, the transmission zeros of the filter are realized. The multipassband of this filter includes a low‐pass band up to 2.66 GHz and another passband from 5.6 to 6.4 GHz. This filter has the attractive advantage of sharp rejection in the stopband. A demonstration filter is designed, fabricated, and tested. The simulated and measured results are presented. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
