Abstract
In this letter, a microstrip dual‐band bandpass filter (BPF) using novel side‐stub‐loaded resonator has been presented.By loading two open stubs at the symmetrical sides of a uniform‐impedance resonator, the center frequency of the fundamental odd mode could be independently controlled while that of the fundamental even mode is fixed. A dual‐band filter using pseudo‐interdigital configuration is implemented with three transmission zeros. To validate the design and analysis, a dual‐band BPF has been designed and fabricated with its two bands located at 2.4/5.2 GHz. It is shown that the measured and simulated performances are in good agreement. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
