β¦ Synopsis
The fluorescence system of Al-BPMPHD-CTMAB was studied. Experiments showed that Al 3+ could form an ionic associate with BPMPHD and CTMAB. The compound could enhance the natural fluorescence of BPMPHD, upon which a new fluorescence method was put forward for determining Al 3+ . Under optimum conditions, a linear relationship was obtained between the fluorescence intensity and the Al 3+ concentration in the range 2.0 Γ 10 -6 -1.0 Γ 10 -4 mol/liter. The detection limit was 4.4 Γ 10 -8 mol/liter.

## Abstract The fluorescence of the prulifloxacin (PUFX)βAl(III) system was investigated . Experiments indicated that the fluorescence intensity of prulifloxacin could be greatly enhanced by Al(III) and sensitized by sodium dodecylbenzene sulphonate (SDBS). Accordingly, a sensitive spectrofluorimet
A dimeric derivative of ethidium is used for fluorimetric assay of nucleic acids. Due to the very high binding affinity of this derivative for DNA and RNA, a significant increase of sensitivity of the ethidium fluorimetric technique for nucleic acids determination is obtained.
