## Abstract Characteristics of a single‐layer, multi‐frequency microstrip patch antenna, which uses a Sinc shaped microstrip patch configuration, are studied. This antenna is capable of providing good impedance matching at all frequencies without tuning the feed position and other design parameters

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Investigations of a microstrip antenna for multifrequency operation are reported. The integral‐equation method, using IE3D software, is used for the analysis of the antenna. The antenna can be used to operate at four different resonance frequencies with broadside radiation patterns. The theoretical results are supported by experimental verification. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A novel monopole rectangular printed antenna has been investigated. The simulated result shows wide operating impedance‐bandwidth at two different center frequencies which are verified experimentally with −10‐dB return loss bandwidth of about 3.17 GHz (4.19−7.36 GHz) and 2.43 GHz (8.695
