A rapid method is described for the isolation of plasmid DNA from Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas putida. The effect of heating the cell preparation during plasmid extraction is discussed in relationship to the final plasmid yield.
A coal-vitamin medium was developed to isolate actinomycetes from soil, which was superior to other currently used media. It increased the number of actinomycetes and inhibited the growth of other soil bacteria. The pretreatment of soil suspension with peptone (6%) and lauryl sulfate (0.05%) at 50Β°C
the solid compound occurred at 1686cm-1 and 1727cm-1 and before crystallisation (measured as film) at 1703 cm-1 and 1735 cm-1. Compounds IIIa-c were isolated by distillation at bath temperatures of 70-120Β°C and pressures of about 10-2mmHg.
## Abstract Until now it has not been possible to obtain nuclear bodies from __Escherichia coli__ after treatment with rifampicin. It was generally assumed that the crossβconnections between the DNA double strands which are sensitive towards ribonuclease are destroyed under the influence of inhibit
