the solid compound occurred at 1686cm-1 and 1727cm-1 and before crystallisation (measured as film) at 1703 cm-1 and 1735 cm-1. Compounds IIIa-c were isolated by distillation at bath temperatures of 70-120°C and pressures of about 10-2mmHg.
