✦ Synopsis

An analysis of the hydrodynamics of aqueous flow in the posterior chamber of the anterior segment of the eye is presented. The viscid, incompressible description of fluid dynamics in a spherical geometry is utilized to reduce the problem to a biharmonic-type equation using a "Stokes Stream Function". Analogous to Poiseuille flow in a cylindrical pipe, velocity profiles are deduced and an Ohms Law relationship between pressure and flow is derived in terms of the geometry of the assumed model. This result is then incorporated into a synthesized electric circuit analog 0f flow between ciliary artery and episcleral vein. Applications to open angle and pupilary block glat/coma are discussed.

As fl uidized solids take on the properties of liquid (Basu and Fraser, 1991), its fl ow over the sidewall of the recycle chamber may be considered to be similar to the fl ow of a liquid over a regular sharp crested weir. This being the case, one should be able to predict all hydrodynamic parameters
