✦ Synopsis

A numerical method using impulse analysis of a transmission-line matrix is used to model the scattering of underwater acoustic waves. The method is demonstrated by observation of plane and curved wavefronts travelling through the medium, and by plane wavefronts being scattered by a reflecting boundary.

## Abstract This paper employs a hybrid method that combines the pseudo‐spectral time‐domain (PSTD) algorithm and the finite‐difference–time‐domain (FDTD) method to analyze the scattering problems involving fine structures. In principle, the PSTD is applied in a direction with low‐density variation

The oscillation of a bubble has many vibrational modes, contributing to di!erent portions in acoustic scattering. Without approximations a priori, an hydrodynamic approach is applied to investigate acoustic scattering by a bubble in water, taking into account the heat exchange and viscosity. The sca

## Abstract In this work, a numerical time‐domain approach to model acoustic wave propagation in axisymmetric bodies is developed. The acoustic medium is modelled by the boundary element method (BEM), whose time convolution integrals are evaluated analytically, employing the concept of finite part
